Last September I wrote about Why DaVinci Resolve Will Replace Adobe Premiere, and today it has happened. Adobe Premiere is no longer the most downloaded solution for video editing, DaVinci Resolve 16 has launched and it’s spreading like wildfire.
The DaVinci Resolve Trend
Is an indicator that shows DaVinci Resolve has now become the most talked about and preferred video editing software of choice.
DaVinci Resolve 16 is the only solution that combines professional 8K editing, color correction, visual effects and audio post production all in one software tool, making it the biggest threat to Adobe Premiere Pro.
With Resolve users can instantly switch between editing, color, effects, and audio. It’s the only solution designed for multi user collaboration so editors, assistants, colorists, VFX artists and sound designers can all work live on the same project at the same time. Whether you’re a YouTuber, or part of a large team, it’s easy to see why DaVinci Resolve has become the new standard for high end post production and finishing on more Hollywood feature films, television shows and commercials than any other software.
New Features in Resolve 16
The Cut Page
Designed specifically for editors working on high end fast turn around work, the new cut page is all about speed. It’s an alternate edit page with a streamlined interface and new tools that help you work faster. The cut page lets you import, edit, trim, add transitions, titles, automatically match color, mix audio and more. Whether you’re delivering for broadcast or for YouTube, the cut page has everything you need to get the job done, all in one place.
New Editing Features
DaVinci Resolve 16 includes everything professional editors and YouTubers need to cut shows, blockbuster films, and commercials. It’s new features make it perfect for both offline and online editing. The high performance playback engine makes editing and trimming incredibly fast, even for processor intensive formats such as H.264 and RAW.
New Color Features
DaVinci Resolve 16’s new color tools let you quickly manipulate color in cool ways to get results that are impossible with other software and it’s one reason why people are moving away from Adobe Premiere. DaVinci Resolve has been used on more feature films and television shows than any other color grading system, with powerful primary and secondary tools, curves, tracking, stabilization and more.
